This amoral black comedy only comes to life when human pit bull Joe Pesci is onscreen. He's a funny guy trying to keep his own head while trying to keep track of the titular noggins (confirmation of a mob hit) stashed in a duffel bag that is unwittingly plucked from an airport carousel. The plucker, Charlie, is a medical student enroute to Mexico to vacation with his fiance (Kristy Swanson) and her disapproving parents (George Hamilton and an increasingly hysterical Dyan Cannon). One trick pony David Spade is his obnoxious sarcastic self as Charlie's roommate, and there is some guilty pleasure to be had in watching Pesci torture him for information, but this is a sour, joyless comedy in which a grumpy old woman's forced exit from a moving van and her plummet over a cliff is supposed to be a big laugh (not to worry: she reappears during the closing credits). Use your head and bag this one. Not recommended. (K. Lee Benson)
