Or: Free Flippy. If you remember, the TV series (which was inspired by the 1963 movie) was about two brothers who enjoyed the Florida Keys as their backyard. But that would never do in the ‘90s, would it? So instead we get the (yawn) sullen youth whose friendship with a dolphin breaks him out of his emotional shell. Paul (formerly Crocodile Dundee) Hogan sails along on his easy-going charm, but the usually likable Elijah Wood is adrift as the boy. But even this beached remake should make a bigger splash on video than it did in theaters thanks to the low price and the always irresistible sight of a clever dolphin at play. Optional. (K. Lee Benson)
