This is a disappointing overview of a day in the life of comedian George Burns. Disappointing, because Burns is naturally funny (and the program perks up during the last ten minutes when Burns is live onstage), and his writers have let him down on this one. We see the 93-year-old take his morning walk around the pool, do his morning aerobics workout (which, even though drawn out, is an incredible testament to Burns' spryness), trade one-liners with his household staff, play bridge with Red Buttons, dine with Carol Channing and basically engage in a lot of show biz small talk. The jokes are old, the name-dropping is old; in fact, the only thing that seems fresh about the program is Burns, himself. He deserved better from his tired writers. Not recommended.
