The first film was such an unexpected hit that a sequel was inevitable. Once again, Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau and an even saltier Burgess Meredith redeem the juvenile script that once again seems to have no idea how senior citizens talk, act, think or feel. Spicing up the proceedings is screen goddess Sophia Loren as Wabasha's newest (and even more unlikely than Ann-Margret) resident, a fledgling restaurateur who verbally spars with Matthau. An optional purchase. (K. Benson)
