According to Dimension Home Video, this "adrenaline-pumped" action-thriller follows "immortal relatives" Duncan (Highlander tube star Adrian Paul) and Connor (thesp extraordinaire Christopher Lambert), who team to foil the "evil reign" of Kell (Bruce Payne), a cranky baddie who has just destroyed the immortals' only sanctuary, called, aptly, The Sanctuary. The collaborative effort between Duncan and Connor turns antagonistic, however, when the two men come to realize that neither one of them is strong enough to defeat Kell, so they must first battle one another to the death. (Got that?) I prefaced that plot description with "according to Dimension Home Video" because I was forced to lift it from the studio's press release, for despite doing some mighty hard time with this Goth actioner I still haven't a clue as to what was going on. In a nutshell, a series of mind-numbingly dull sword fights punctuated by snatches of incomprehensible plot and ridiculous dialogue. Cross to the other side of the street to avoid. (S. C. Sickles)
