Jonny Lee Miller and Jude Law (who, be forewarned, figures much more prominently on the box than in the film) co-star in this Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels knock-off, written, directed and produced by Britcom scribes Dominic Anciano and Ray Burdis. Unfunny and unnecessarily violent, this black comedy centers on Miller's attempts to join a gang who can't shoot--or for that matter, think--straight, a gang who, despite their collective incompetence, still manage to muck up several square blocks of London's Soho. While 'force as farce' is a popular genre today, Anciano and Burdis have neither writer-director Guy Ritchie's (Lock, Stock...) style nor wit, and the result is a series of (often tasteless) skits stitched together in the guise of a feature. Not recommended. (S. C. Sickles)
