Mark's Gospel

Filmed live before an audience at the Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey, storyteller Max McLean presents a word-for-word rendition of the Good News according to Mark, based on the New International Version of the Bible. Spotlighted in a darkened room, the casually dressed McLean is compelling as he conveys the terse, compressed style of Mark's rendition of Jesus's public life. A seasoned performer, McLean knows how to hold audience interest with just his voice, body language and the occasional use of a chair; under his command, the words of the gospel truly come alive.
