The Melody Lane Sing Along! series is designed for seniors, presenting popular songs from an earlier era. In Heroes & Home Fires WWII, performer and host Georgina Rae—with guitar in hand and backed by the senior vocal group Hamilton Road Songsters—entertains an audience of appreciative veterans at Canada's Parkwood Hospital in London, Ontario. Songs include “Sentimental Journey,” “Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree,” “White Cliffs of Dover,” “Deep in the Heart of Texas,” “I'll Be Seeing You,” and “As Time Goes By,” among others—all of which feature sing-along-style superimposed lyrics (Rae also tells a story or shares trivia before each tune to put it into context).
