The time traveling Time Force faction of the long-running teen superhero Power Rangers franchise consists of four Rangers from the year 3000 (Jen, Katie, Lucas and Trip) and one from the present (Wes). Believing (foolishly, for an action series) that all the harmful mutants have been rounded up and peace and prosperity are all the future has to offer, the Power Rangers find themselves embroiled in a pair of battles that literally span time-traveling millennia, as they square off against the evil Ransik and his wicked henchman Frax, who are unleashing a powerful super-robot named Doomtron to obliterate the city. Predictably, the Rangers kick mutant tail; however, enroute to the action-packed chop-socky battles, viewers must suffer (and at 80 minutes, I do mean suffer) through tedious backstory and superfluous subplots. Still, given this title's popularity with the legion of Power Rangers enthusiasts, consider it an optional purchase. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards.
