When Igby Walters (Wayne Pere), the obsessive-compulsive sound recordist on a cheapie film shoot, speaks, he wants to be heard. But his clumsy fellow technician, the film's mumbling male lead, and especially the dismissive director, Terry Leonard (Wes Studi), all turn him a deaf ear. “We'll fix it in post,” Terry assures him after Igby complains about a problem with the sound track on a key take. After Terry fails to make good on an unrelated promise to help a musician friend secure an audition, the soundman goes a little crazy, turning on the director, as well as others who haven't been listening to him. A quirky, low-budget indie film that is still too muted overall to make much of an impression, this is optional at best. (T. Rich)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
