As the title implies, the film follows the story of Young Kat( Mikhael Klassen-Kay), who is stupidly in love with Eden (Caylin Turner), the most popular girl in their school. When Eden mentions her plans to book the 90s punk band Polyamorous Diatribe for their class spring dance, Kat sees this as a chance to shine. This is because Kat's mother, Dani (Jude Klassen, who is also the director of this film), used to be the band's lead singer before they disbanded.
Kat becomes closer to Eden through their shared connection to the band, but as the class spring event approaches, the band's unresolved issues begin to resurface, potentially derailing the show before it even begins. Meanwhile, Kat's best friend Stevie (Mia Rodne) puts her own happiness on hold to ensure Kat's short-term satisfaction. As the story unfolds, it remains uncertain whether everything will work out in the end.

Stupid For You is lacking in realism, but it has a lot of depth and energy. Its intense storyline and quirky vibe charm and entertain its audience. It's a ride that everyone can enjoy, no matter where they fall on the spectrum or how "stupid" they've felt about a crush.
