An anthology of four erotic shorts, the lead off 1994 Oscar-nominated "The Dutch Master" by director Susan Seidelman serves more to remind us all that voters watch less short subjects than they should than impress us either aesthetically or erotically. Although it's not nearly as bad as the second effort, "The Insatiable Mrs. Kirsch," from the perennially infantile Ken Russell (Whore). The film is semi-redeemed by the last two entries: Melvin Van Peeble's "Vrooom, Vroom, Vroooom" is a bold tongue-in-cheek satire which combines male fantasies about hot women and hot cars in an unusual way, and Bob Rafelson's Wet, about a hot tub salesman being seduced by a female journalist after hours is a clever, unpretentious treat. An optional purchase.
