In this fictional drama, when Lanie gets engaged to a man, her friends, who have not yet met her fiancé, throw a bridal shower, during which they begin to suspect that the majority of them have had one-night stands with the groom-to-be. Should they tell her, or forever hold their peace? Just as they assemble to warn her of impending doom, Mr. Bon Vivant arrives at the party, and all become giddy with relief as they realize he is not the Cad in Question--I think. This short, expensive vignette features Justine Bateman (Family Ties), Clare Carey (Coach), and Dedee Pfeiffer (Cybill), but is only passably entertaining, inexplicably driven by "Southern" accents, and just kinda lame in the age of AIDS. A very optional purchase. Aud: P. (K. Glaser)
