The latest in Lifetime's TV movie behind-the-scenes skewering of TV series, this entry looks at the 1987-95 family sitcom Full House, which centered on three single men taking care of three little girls in San Francisco. Bawdy comedian Bob Saget (played here by Garrett Brawith) has to tone down his antics to play clean-obsessed patriarch Danny Tanner; flatulent (seriously, this comes up repeatedly) Dave Coulier (Justin Mader) misses out on Saturday Night Live but is glad to reunite with old pal Saget as live-in family friend Joey; and John Stamos (Justin Gaston) is keen to work but would rather break into films than do a TV stint as comparative bad boy Uncle Jesse. The daughters are played by 10 different actresses to reflect the varying ages of Tanner girls D.J., Stephanie, and Michelle over the seasons, with a focus on breakout stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, including their parents' struggles with the twins' fame and fortune. Fans will find nothing surprising or new here—most of the stories are common pop culture knowledge—and, frankly, the backstage of Full House seems like it was a pretty cushy place to be. Not a necessary purchase. (J. Williams-Wood)
