"Ready or not, here comes Mama." Hot on the high heels of The Adventures of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert comes this crowd-pleasing cross-dressing comedy that owes its heart and message of tolerance to La Cage Aux Folles. It must have taken guts for action stars Wesley Snipes and Patrick Swayze (and John Leguizamo) to play flamboyant drag queens, but they're all dressed up with nowhere to go. The story (en-route to Hollywood, the trio's car breaks down in a small town) is strictly conventional and the characters non-threateningly sexless. (D. Liebenson)
