Denise Austin Xtralite: Beginner's Yoga

Denise Austin cranks her high energy workout drill down a couple of notches to accommodate a Zen-like pose. Does she manage it? Does the phrase ‘hummingbird in a straight-jacket' give you a clear picture? Viewers do learn a variety of basic postures including the sun salutation and floor exercises, and instead of Austin's normal cool-down phase, she offers a relaxation and visualization talk. All in all, it's a solid introduction to yoga-lite, but somehow calm sedation doesn't become her. The box states the program's copyright is 1998; not so, the tape was previously released as Denise Austin: Yoga Essentials. Recommended, if you didn't purchase a copy a few years ago. Aud: P. (N.
