Produced by the United States Tennis Association, Dynamic Tennis Warm-Ups is built around the argument that vigorous warm-up techniques--as opposed to static stretching--provides players with more power, endurance, flexibility, balance, and hitting accuracy. Essentially, dynamic warm-ups combine stretching and movement (some of which takes place at a blur) to prime the cardiovascular system, place muscles at optimum temperature to maximize range of motion, ingrain proper movement patterns, and wake up the nervous system. Trainer Mark Verstegen and a very fit assistant demonstrate three 10-minute routines that promote movement in three planes: forward and backwards, side-to-side, and multi-directional movement (exercises range from split-second on-your-feet drills to floor movements that resemble the motion of a caterpillar). Sure to be popular with tennis aficionados, this is recommended. Aud: H, C, P. (C. Block)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
