Exercise SeniorStyle is comprised of two 30-minute tapes featuring a complete exercise workout for seniors. Tape "A" is conducted by Susan Malmstadt Wanner, creator and executive producer of the television program Senior Shape Up. Starting with exercises one can do while sitting in a chair, Wanner gradually works viewers out of the chair to do leg exercises while using the chair back for support. In Tape "B", Marilynn Freier, who teaches exercise classes for seniors, leads viewers through a slightly more demanding exercise routine (though many of the exercises are exactly the same.) Both programs are very simple one person, two-camera productions, which deliver the exercises without much extra commentary. Stretch for Life: The Edgar Cayce Way to Energize features instructor Nancy Pohle, and two helpers, conducting viewers through a 10-minute morning routine, a 20-minute daytime routine, and a 10-minute evening routine. While Pohle begins each session with references to the Edgar Cayce readings, these exercises are quite similar to those found in most aerobicise programs. In addition to the low-key exercise workouts, Pohle demonstrates some basic yoga positions for increasing relaxation. Both programs feature good audio and video qualities, and both are recommended for libraries without similar fare.
