After breast cancer surgery many women face physical and psychological healing without much guidance or support from the medical community. Post-operative mobility and regaining upper body strength is critical in reducing the risk of lymphedema or the severity of it. This very simple exercise tape introduces a maintenance program which helps to regain and improve the full range of motion affected by surgery. The workout offers off-camera direction to six women as they exercise to classical music (beginning stretches), a jazz selection (demonstrating wide sweeping motions, upper body dexterity, and dance steps), concluding with a cool down session which provides low impact toning to wrists and hands. This basic no-frills tape provides remedial conditioning in a gentle exercise regiment that encourages the breast cancer survivor to begin her own physical therapy and recovery program. Recommended. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
