Interactive Parenting is a non-profit organization and also a video series, created by Dr. Esther Lee Yao, former deputy director of the U.S. Department of Education. The four 30-minute tapes in the series deal with the most critical developmental period of human beings...under age three. Yao points out that researchers have proven that early stimulation will in-crease a child's intelligence and learning capacity. To aid in that stimulation, Dr. Yao presents a variety of innovative activities to develop a child's potential. In Strength in Grasping, the caregivers in the video model ways to play with your baby to improve strength and refine motor skills, offering many ideas and clearly showing what each activity is designed to achieve. The other titles in the series are: Muscle Builder, Sharpening Eyes/Mind and A Thoughtful Helper. Recommended. Aud: P. (C. Dratch-Kovler)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
