Although the specific focus on arthritis is commendable, little about Susan Tuttle's presentation invites repeat watching: not the set (a square of carpet, a few potted plants, and a chair in a white, sterile space); not the music (a grating medley of Bach and Beethoven themes hopped up with an electronic beat); and, sadly, not even Tuttle herself, who seems to be going through the motions of the two 30-minute workouts without much real engagement. Segueing quickly from one move to another without adequate time for repetitions (especially for older folks), Tuttle seldom mentions which muscles are being worked or how a particular movement is helpful for someone with arthritis. The second of the two routines involves some standing, and the pace remains too fast, especially for those with knee or hip joints that are hurting. A better choice here would be Easy Yoga for Arthritis (VL Online-5/11), which features sitting and standing moves. Optional. Aud: P. (F. Gardner)
