People who believe in "quality circles," "teams," "visions," and other trendy management terms that have been skewered by Dilbert, will love "mind mapping." It's a process for ‘outlining' the steps you will take in order to accomplish a task; whether it be planning a vacation, writing a book, or getting ready for a presentation, the "mind map" helps you to see the big picture and to prioritize action plans. Management and communication expert Richard Konieczka presents his ideas in a highly entertaining manner that keeps the pace lively while still managing to lay out the fundamentals in a relatively short period of time. Although viewers will come away from this program with a new respect for time management and goal setting, librarians should note that throughout the presentation viewers are asked to turn off the VCR and perform certain assignments with the accompanying study materials, which include a study booklet and three audiocassettes. Recommended, with reservations. Aud: C, P. (J. Carlson)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
