Described by the producers as "film noir" (not exactly like Barbara Stanwyck in Double Indemnity, but rather like 8mm home movies of Archie Bunker in drag), this how-to's poor (dare I say hokey) production values would require exceptionally valuable content to warrant enduring a looooong 22 minutes in its company. Unfortunately (or not), there is little to recommend the material. Although on the surface this video would seem to be related to the actual Y2K computer bug, there is really very little information given on what the "bug" IS. Thus, any clues on "how the year 2000 bug will affect your business," or how to "develop a plan of action to prepare your company and save money," as the jacket confidently boasts, are necessarily far too vague and insubstantial to be of value to its intended audience of "small/medium sized businesses." Likewise, the worksheet provided is in fact no more than a form on which a business owner is instructed to list his or her equipment by manufacturer, model number, etc., and note whether or not it is "Y2K compliant" (a term which is never defined, and apparently determined by simply contacting the equipment manufacturer: a not-so-simple task when the compliance of hardware and software, often from different manufacturers, overlap, which they frequently do). Not recommended. Aud: P. (J. Cichewicz)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
