"Robbers, killers, beware!" Spider-Man swings into skyscraper-hopping, wall-scaling action in this collection of four episodes from the 1995 animated series. Of most interest to those who flocked to see Sam Raimi's recent live-action blockbuster will be "Make a Wish," in which Spider-Man relates to a worshipful young girl how he became the original web-slinging wonder; "Enter the Green Goblin," introducing the fiendish adversary Willem Dafoe brought so creepily to life in the movie; and the bonus 1967 episode, "The Origin of Spider-Man," complete with the classic theme song ("Spider-Man, Spider-Man/Does whatever a spider can"). The DVD edition includes an interview segment and episode introductions from "Spidey" creator Stan Lee. An optional purchase--merit-wise--but young fans of this uniquely "Everyman" superhero will be gladly caught in this compilation's web. Aud: P. (K. Lee Benson)
