We are excited to announce the launch of Reuters Newsfilm for Education! This is a fantastic new library resource for both documentary filmmaking as well as broadcast journalism programs.
Reuters is the world’s largest video archive dating from 1896 and gathered from 163 countries. The archive covers all genres from historic newsreels to current affairs.
There are over 1m licensable clips with approximately 150 added each day!
Requests from students to license content for productions are frequent but the cost is prohibitive. We want to give the next generation of filmmakers the best resources to learn their craft.
While there is a range of products and services available, no commercial archive on this scale has been able to provide a comprehensive and affordable solution.
Reuters Newsfilm For Education gives institutions unprecedented access (formerly reserved for the world’s broadcasters) to complete video coverage of international news, delivered 24/7 from around the globe; a raw news footage feed of hundreds of up-to-date stories each day and access to one of the world’s oldest, largest, and most renowned video archives.
