Virtual Reality for Media Librarians
Consumer interest in Virtual Reality has enjoyed a resurgence in recent years. It’s another medium for libraries to offer. Some already do. Join Paul Fraser of Blaze Cineworks in a session designed to give media librarians an introductory overview of VR in 2021, and trends for the near future.
This webinar will take place online Nov. 18 at 2:00 pm EST and is free to all attendees. The session will include a presentation of the results of the summer survey of Video Trust members on their usage of, interests in, and attitudes toward VR. To illustrate well-established uses of VR by libraries or their host institutions, Paul will interview two librarians who have successfully added VR to their libraries, and one university professor who embraced virtual reality in a trailblazing undergraduate course on VR. The session will conclude with a Q&A segment open to all attendees.
