Webinar: Cataloging Virtual Reality Programming
to
Cataloging is an ever-changing platform that grows and expands with challenges. As new libraries employ new technology and material types, catalogers must invent and discover new ways to catalog and describe it. One such challenge is virtual reality programing. Unlike video games, many of these are all digital and do not have any type of physical format. So, what is the best way to catalog them? This was the question that a cataloger from Mississippi State University faced. She was tasked with cataloging their virtual reality collection. During this presentation she will share the answers she found to many questions during this process. Including, what is a good way to catalog VR games? How do you catalog early access games and those that are part of a bundle?
Learning Outcomes: At the end of the webinar, catalogers will have a better understanding of how to catalog virtual reality programs for various headsets.
