Substream Films was founded in 2003 by Georg Kozulinski. For over a decade, Substream Films and its associates have produced numerous award-winning documentary films, engaging a broad range of social justice issues, from exploitative migrant farmlabor practices in the U.S.A., to rural Vodou in Haiti, and the culturual resurgence taking place among First Nations communities in Haida Gwaii (BC, Canada). Substream Films' documentaries have appeared on the Documentary Channel, Fandor, and The Journal of Short Film.
