Video Magic

Growing up in the UK, Jonathan Lowe gained a Psychology degree at Hull University and entered the computer industry in 1976 to market career-entry training course with Control Data Corporation. After 10 successful years he came to the US to sell computer-based training systems in Los Angeles. This work introduced Jonathan to video and he bought his first video camera in 1983, at first focusing on the recording of live events. Arriving in Santa Fe in 1988 he went to the College of Santa Fe, IAIA and Santa Fe Community College to study all aspects of video production. Jonathan went on to teach at SFCC and IAIA as well as working in New Mexico High Schools in the Artist-in-Residence program. With the business, Video Magic, starting in 1991, the focus is on filming performance, teaching and working with local Not-for Profit organizations to help them raise funds through quality video.
