Father Christmas

Based on the wonderful picture book by Raymond Briggs (The Snowman), this nicely-animated follow-up finds Father Christmas deciding to take a vacation in Paris, Scotland, and Las Vegas, of all places, where he endures such trials and tribulations as the runs (from rich French food), Scottish rain, and major losses at the casino, before returning home to the preferable business of getting ready for Christmas. Not The Snowman (but, what is?), this is still an enjoyable, daring, Christmas tale. Recommended. Aud: P. (R. Pitman)
