What is respect? Sharing? Cooperation? Find out with Spinoza, the Bear Who Speaks From the Heart! This life-size puppet and his multicultural friends explore the concept of respect at a field day and community picnic scenario through three songs and a story told with illustrated stills. The kids do a lot of bouncing, the token adults do a lot of wise nodding, and Spinoza says "Wow, that was really fun!" many times in a voice that is so mellow, Mr. Rogers would sound hyperactive by comparison. Other than that, the video is basically a few karaoke songs (words appear onscreen and Spinoza's voice has that eerie karaoke-mic echo) bookended by shameless plugs for more Spinoza bear merchandise. Also available on video: I Like Being Me! Very optional. K, E. (E. Gieschen)
