This was probably a cute piece in its day, but judging from the scratches on the 16mm print, and the relative corniness of the way the subject matter is handled, that day could have been anytime in the 1960s or 70s. An animated face representing a teacher asks students about the differences between plants and animals, and then tests the validity of the answers through animated examples, timelapse photography, and microphotography. The film clips used are all from relatively ancient nature films. While there is no misinformation here, the presentation is so dated that even younger viewers are likely to be bored by animated styles and photography methods that have long since become archaic. Not recommended. (Available from: MRC Films, 71 West 23rd St., New York, NY 10010.)
