On the heels of Preschool Power! (reviewed in our October, 1990 issue), the multi-award winning children's video that eclipsed Disney entries to take top prize at the 1991 New York International Film & Video Festival, comes this delightful sequel. Eight pre-schoolers aged 2-6 demonstrate a handful of Montessori-based tasks while singing silly songs and playing. The activities include: making a fruit salad, drawing a puppet on one's hand, hair care, cleaning up a messy room, spooning, tying, making music with water-filled bottles, etc. Interspersed throughout the program are some wonderful tunes about such diverse subjects as "rootin' tootin' cowboys" and helping younger siblings ("when you help someone smaller, it makes you feel taller.") The same superb production values that characterized the earlier program are evident throughout, and the children are charming and spontaneous as opposed to being cloyingly cute. Highly recommended.
