Sesame Street: Singing with the Stars

This compilation from the long-running children's series features a variety of fun vignettes with contemporary singers and actors who make their way onto Sesame Street. While some of the clips overlap from earlier releases (such as segments by will.i.am and Adam Sandler previously seen in Elmo's Music Magic [VL-1/12], and R.E.M.'s “Furry Happy Monsters” from Elmo Loves You! [VL Online-4/09]), the star-power is definitely evident here with fun and educational tunes from Sheryl Crow, James Blunt, Ricky Gervais (who has an amusing exchange with Elmo about his fame…or lack thereof), Destiny's Child, *NSYNC, Alicia Keys (in an adaptation of her Grammy-winning “Fallin'”), LL Cool J, Norah Jones, Andrea Bocelli (the tenor superstar sings a bedtime lullaby), and more.
