Crikey! Australia's children's favorites The Wiggles (Jeff, Greg, Murray and Anthony--decked out in purple, yellow, red, and blue, respectively) are joined by Animal Planet's popular Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin when they get "lost" in the Australian outback and are rescued by knowledgeable guide Irwin, who shows them a multitude of interesting animals at the Australia Zoo. Creative songs like "Wobbly Camel," "Cocky Want a Cracker" (where the annoying Captain Feathersword and a half dozen cute tykes dress up in cockatoo costumes), "Do the Owl" (ostensibly a tribute to disco), and the salsa-like "Dingo Tango" are mixed with brief vignettes, dance numbers, and concert footage. Irwin's wife Terri and young daughter Bindi (whose love for The Wiggles was a driving force behind this entertaining pairing) also appear throughout the program, and Irwin himself fits in with the Wiggle quartet like a zany, charmingly informative long-lost brother (check out the end credit outtakes). [Note: DVD features include a chance to learn more about five of the animals, an extensive photo gallery, and an interview with Irwin and The Wiggles.] Highly recommended. Aud: K, E, P. (J. Williams)
