Kind of a one-note (metaphorically, not literally) program, this entertaining adaptation of Lloyd Moss's 1995 picture book (with illustrations by Marjorie Priceman) lyrically introduces viewers to 10 orchestra instruments (such as "flute, that sends our soul a-shiver/flute, that slender, silver sliver"). Young viewers will also see (and hear, in an original score from Marvin Hamlisch) the trombone, trumpet, French horn, cello, bassoon, clarinet, oboe, violin and harp. Featuring very good narration by Maureen Anderman, colorful iconographic animation, and a stirring score, this is warmly recommended. Aud: K, E, P. (R. Pitman)
