Fans of the Brothers Kratt (Chris and Martin), the animal loving siblings who entertained pre-teens with the popular PBS series Kratt's Creatures (VL-3/97), will be happy to learn that their current Emmy-nominated series for pre-schoolers--Zoboomafoo--is coming to home video. Aided by their friend lemur, nicknamed Zoboo for short, the nature boys introduce young viewers to a wide range of animal babies in Zoboo's Little Pals, including a baby horse, chicks, puppies, a black bear cub, a black jaguar cub, and a baby alligator. Combining animated guessing games (about animals), claymation segments, and lots of animal footage filmed in the wild, as well as inside Chris, Martin, and Zoboo's "Animal Junction" headquarters, this is a truly delightful program which will melt the hearts of viewers young and old. Educating and entertaining pre-schoolers with interesting animal facts and amusing Kratt pratfalls (viewers will learn, for instance, that horses can sleep standing up, but that a somnolent Kratt brother will eventually fall on his butt), this quality program and its companion, Zoboomafoo: Play Day at Animal Junction, are highly recommended.
