This delightful journey through the Milwaukee County Zoo has been recently repriced to make it even more of a bargain. Our host, Gilda Gorgeous the giraffe, introduces us to such characters as Mishka--1,000 lbs. of graceful polar bear; Harold the macaw, a temperamental actor who's hell on wheels (a miniature scooter, that is); and Mandara, the baby gorilla who has a number of surrogate mothers. More than just an animal by animal zoo-ologue Zoo-opolis discusses feeding and nutrition habits of animals, interviews trainers and handlers, and drops in on lectures--one such, on the tarantula, reveals that there has never been a documented case of human death resulting from a tarantula bite (take note, Indiana Jones)--all set to some wonderfully quirky music. The only caution is that small children might become a bit frightened by the snake feeding scenes. Otherwise, this is highly recommended.
