Much like her character in Grease, Aussie chanteuse Olivia Newton-John metamorphosed from a peaches-and-cream country/pop singer during the ‘70s to a pixie-ish sex kitten diva in the ‘80s. This absurdly short compilation of five music videos (running a total of 17 minutes) from the 20th Century Masters series, finds a made-over Newton-John performing her smash hit “Physical” (set in a health club where buff, oiled hard-body guys are ultimately revealed to be roly-poly dreamers), “A Little More Love,” “Deeper Than the Night” (both using a tried-and-trite photo shoot motif), “Heart Attack” (a supernatural-tinged nonsensical video about a little girl ghost), and “Totally Hot” (using a tried-and-trite photo shoot while dancing on the rooftop motif). Presented in PCM stereo, this is--needless to say--nowhere near the “best” of Olivia Newton-John (even post-Grease: “Magic” and “Xanadu” are obvious omissions). Not recommended. [Note: The Best of Kiss and The Best of Toby Keith are also newly available in the 20th Century Masters series.] Aud: P. (R. Pitman)
