Diana Krall: Live in Paris

To paraphrase Elvis Costello, when they write the book of love song torch singers, right after the names of Billie Holliday and Dianne Schuur, you'll find: Diana Krall, the lovely, sexy-voiced, ivory tickling, Grammy award winning, jazz/pop chanteuse. Adding extra wattage to the City of Lights, Krall, her band, and a full scale orchestra, serve up a generous two-hour 17-song set at the Paris Olympia, drawing primarily on Krall's last two releases The Look of Love (2001) and When I Look In Your Eyes (1999). Highlights (and there are no lowlights) include: "The Look of Love," "Devil May Care," "Cry Me a River," "I Get Along Without You Very Well," "Pick Yourself Up," "S'Wonderful," and the solo piano encore "A Case of You."
