Completist fans of low-fi, neo-psychedelic band Galaxie 500 will find much to admire in this interesting collection of music videos, concert and television performances, and bootleg-shot shows featuring the long-defunct trio (Dean Wareham, Damon Krukowski, and Naomi Yang). The band's few ventures into the music video form look like late-1960s artifacts of found footage combined with heady collage effects, while live studio performances taped for British television offer a chance to hear some of Galaxie 500's more focused tunes, and amateur video of several live concerts in the U.S. and UK capture the group both at its most lugubrious and most fierce. Presented in Dolby Digital stereo, this double-disc set also includes a booklet containing an interview with band members. Recommended. Aud: P. (T. Keogh)
