It's 1952: Cecil B. is releasing The Greatest Show on Earth, a loaf of bread costs $0.16, Edna Ferber's Giant is the year's best-selling novel, Robin Williams is born (as well as my sister-in-law, Vicki Williams [no relation]). Chewing gum, pizzas, panty raids, and Scrabble are all big time. Leonard Maltin is the host of this clever novelty item which takes birthday viewers through a time capsule trivia tour of the year of their birth. Separate titles are available for the years 1946-1965. Not an essential purchase, it is nevertheless fun, and would be enjoyed by patrons. (See ANDREW WYETH: THE HELGA PICTURES for availability).

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
