Disney's homegrown starlet is now a budding movie star and part-time singer--but then, what young Disney female isn't? Fortunately for Hilary Duff, her music career looks promising. Surrounded by an excellent band and immersed in arrangements far more edgy and interesting than the ones on her studio recordings, Duff here proves to be a competent pop princess with rocking credentials. From the title tune's hip backbeat, and big but not obnoxious rock sound, to the Pretenders-like "Anywhere But Here," the diminutive blonde earns her applause on this 12-song set recorded during her 2003 Metamorphosis tour promoting her first major album. Presented in Dolby Digital 5.1, the DVD's special features include a handful of behind-the-scenes featurettes, interviews, and a pair of music videos. Recommended. Aud: P. (T. Keogh)
