Popular folk singer Judy Collins serves up a generous 18-song set in this near-90 minute concert filmed live at the famed Wolf Trap (Virginia) outdoor auditorium on June 18, 2000. Backed by a small band (and playing guitar and piano herself), Collins performs a wide array of covers and originals, including "Both Sides Now," "Send in the Clowns," "City of New Orleans," "Someday Soon," "Who Knows Where the Time Goes," and the lovely homage "My Father." Collins' Irish heritage is also given full voice in "Danny Boy," "She Moves Through the Fair," and "Kerry Dancers," among others, and the audience joins in on her moving, signature a cappella version of "Amazing Grace." Presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0, the DVD also features a commentary track by Collins, the option to sing along with the subtitled lyrics, and a photo gallery. A lovely showcase for one of the true chanteuses of folk and popular song, this is recommended. Aud: P. (R. Pitman)
