Laura Zimmerman is the host for this short program which has the flavor (and depth) of a nightly news report. At Avezan, France, 60 volunteers work on the restoration of a 13th-century castle. Mostly foreign students come to the castle each summer where, in trade for the work, they receive lodging. The camera travels inside the castle, interviewing the owner and the workers, and Zimmerman adds a brief history of the castle's construction. This could have been and should have been a lot more interesting than it actually is. Not recommended. [Note: the title on the box reads: Forever France: Le Chateau d'Esprit (See MR. LAO & THE CROCODILES for availability.)

This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
