These four programs, part of EAV's foreign language series, introduce students to the geography and language of Mexico; South America; and Paris, France. All four programs are divided into three sections: Part one features English narration and enhanced slides, part two repeats the visual material with a foreign soundtrack, and part three repeats the visual material again, this time with foreign narration and English subtitles. In the first program, students visit Mexico City, Cuernevaca, Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Oaxaca, and Chichen Itza, among other places. And in the second, students are shown the sights of South America, including stops in Venezuela, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina. In Paris, Je T'Aime, Anne and Martine visit the famous sights of Paris; and in Noel, a 12-year old French boy who lives in the village travels to Paris for the Christmas holidays. Since the primary focus in all of these titles is on language, these would be appropriate for language courses in junior and senior high schools. (See THE HISTORY OF ENGLISH LITERATURE for availability.)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
