Peter Ustinov is an erudite, charming, and politically astute interviewer. In this recent program, he talks about the days of Jordan under British colonialism and relates a few anecdotes about his dealings with the Bedouins before meeting with King Hussein for a half-hour chat. The two men talk about the days under the British General John Glubb Pasha, Hussein's rise to the throne in 1952, and the political, economic, and social struggles which the country faced in achieving its freedom, as well as future struggles to come. It's a pleasant, informative program which features two true gentlemen. Recommended. (See THE BIRTHDAY MOVIE for availability.)
