Although many kids under 20 would probably puke if they heard the word "Beatles" one more time this year, boomers will be in strawberry fields forever with this video version of the popular ABC special (shown last November). Timed to coincide with the release of the Beatles Anthology 3 CD, the video anthology includes over 5 hours of footage not seen in the original broadcast, making it twice as long. Is 10 hours of Beatles too much? Please, please me. For many people and one entire generation, the Beatles were the greatest band to ever play, period. Combining contemporary interviews with Paul, George, and Ringo, as well as many key figures in the Beatles story, together with archival interviews and scads of footage from stage, screen, and everyday life, The Beatles Anthology is mesmerizing, following the Fab Four from their beginning days in Liverpool in the early 60's to the premiere of the Let It Be documentary in London in 1970, which none of the (by then former) Beatles attended.
