The howls provided by Martin Lawrence and Will Smith in this cops vs. drug lord thriller almost make up for the fact that the plot is strictly routine, the Lawrence-Smith oh-yeah-top-this! riffs are often too long, and the female lead Tea Leoni is notably uncharismatic.
