The "heroes" of this foul (screen)play pic are two die-hard idiot Boston Celtics fans, Mike and Jimmy (Dan Aykroyd and Daniel Stern, respectively) who want the Celtics to win the NBA title so bad they kidnap the opposing team's best player Louis Scott (Damon Wayans). In the end, everyone learns the meaning of true friendship, blah, blah, blah...yeah right. A mean-spirited, obnoxious movie. Not recommended. (R. Pitman) [Blu-ray/DVD Review—Apr. 3, 2018—Kino Lorber, 91 min., PG-13, DVD: $11.95, Blu-ray: $19.95—Making its latest appearance on DVD and debut on Blu-ray, 1996’s Celtic Pride features a so-so transfer with DTS-HD 2.0 audio. Extras include audio commentary by director Tom DeCerchio. Bottom line: an unimpressive Blu-ray release of a lame film.]
